Mr. Martin Valentine Easter

Mr. Martin Valentine Easter, age 86 of Cana, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Easter was born in Carroll County on November 5, 1927 to Thomas Garland and Hattie Dowell Easter. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be dearly missed. Mr. Easter was retired from Bassett Furniture. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Dale Marsh and Jennifer and Bobby York; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Linda Easter and Ronnie and Kitty Easter all of Cana; seventeen grandchildren; forty-five great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Arlis Hodges and a brother, Roy Easter all of Mt. Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Easter was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Jones Easter and four brothers. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 14, 2014 at Rocky Ford Christian Church by Rev. Joseph Easter and Rev. Israel Easter. There will not be a visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd, Dobson, NC 27017.
