Mr. Melvin Wesley McMillian

Mr. Melvin Wesley McMillian, 67, of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. He was born in Carroll County on March 23, 1946 to Hazel Ayers McMillian and the late Wayne McMillian. Mr. McMillian was retired from Renfro and was a member of Fancy Gap United Methodist Church. He bravely served three tours in Vietnam while honorably serving our country in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Alladean Snow McMillian of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Jennifer McMillian of Mt. Airy; his mother, Hazel Ayers McMillian of Mt. Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Frances McMillian of Mt. Airy; a niece, Shoree Gunther and husband Richard of Mt. Airy. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Fancy Gap United Methodist Church with Rev. Maria W Grimm officiating. Burial will follow in the Morris Family Cemetery with full military honors conducted by VFW Grover King Post 1115 of Hillsville, VA.
