Mr. Okey Carl Mullins

Mr. Okey Carl Mullins, age 81 of Spencer, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. He was born in Mullins, West Virginia on February 14, 1934 to the late Maston and Matilda Green Mullins. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mullins was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth "Janie" Allen; and three brothers, Junior, Lacy and Raymond Mullins. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He took great pride in his craft as an electrician and served as a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union #342.

Mr. Mullins is survived by his wife of 52 years, Alma "Pat" Foley Mullins of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Deborah Mullins of Stuart, Pam Foley and Kenny Hylton of Spencer; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vergie Sizemore of Woodlawn and Rosetta Bundy of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and his loving dogs whom he adored, Little Girl and Big Girl.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. in the Stateline Cemetery with Pastor Gene Pearson officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart and at other times at the home.
