Mr. Porter Floyd Culler

Mr. Porter Floyd Culler, age 87, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Culler was born in Patrick County on October 5, 1929 to Irby and Caroline Bondurant Culler. He proudly served our country in the United States Marines and was a retired electrician. Mr. Culler was a member of Copeland Masonic Lodge 390 AF & AM for more than thirty years. Surviving is his devoted wife, Josephine Davis Culler; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Pam Culler; grandchildren, Chris Culler and wife Joy, Lori Adkins and husband Shane, Justin Culler and wife Christine, Todd Blevins; great grandchildren, Ian Culler, Eisley Culler, Gunner Isaac Culler, Madison Clodfelter, and Nevin Hunter; step great grandchildren, Alex, Emiley, Taylor and Bradley; step children, Danny Boyd and wife Linda, Movita Utt and husband Wallace, Jerry Boyd and wife Ann Katherine, Glenn Boyd and wife Becky, Donita Harrison and husband Ronny and James Boyd and wife Detra; 13 step grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Marshall and Emily Clement; a brother, Nelson Culler and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Culler was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Grace Doby Culler; and sisters, Alma Culler and Patricia Marshall. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Hank Robertson. Burial will follow in New Home Church of Christ Cemetery with military honors by VFW Memorial Honor Guard, Pilot Mountain Post 9436 and Mt. Airy Post 2019 as well as Masonic Rites by Copeland Lodge 390 AF & AM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday beginning at noon. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to VFW Memorial Honor Guard at 142 Veterans Dr., Pilot Mountain, NC 27041, or to The Oxford Orphanage at 600 College St., Oxford, NC 27565.
