Mr. Raymond Edward Morris

Mr. Raymond Edward Morris, age 70, of Stuart passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015 at his home. He was born on Jan. 10, 1945 in Roanoke to the late Joseph Warren Morris and Fannie Belle Robertson Morris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Morris. Mr. Morris served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Anita Compton Morris of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Beth and John Hughes of Stuart; one son, Raymond Morris, Jr. of Henry County; five grandchildren, William Morris, Caleb Morris, Allison Hughes, John Hughes, II, Michelle Morris; four sisters, Doris Hodges, Mildred Mason, Mary Lawson, Kathy Southern all of Franklin County; and one brother, Jimmy Morris of Franklin County.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Bob Sowder officiating. Military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.
