Mr. Raymond Leroy Snow

Mr. Raymond Leroy Snow, 82, of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy. He was born in Surry County on June 15, 1932 to the late Columbus and Lela Tolbert Snow. Mr. Snow was retired from Northern Hospital of Surry County and was a member of Joylight Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nellie Jackson Snow of the home; three daughters and son-in-law, Vickie and Alan Vickrey of Bay Minette, AL., Melody Moorer and Tracey Clark both of Mt. Airy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Dennis Snow and Betty of Randleman, Mark Snow and Deborah of Mt. Airy; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Rachel Jarrell and Kester of Mt. Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Swanson Snow and Linda of Mt. Airy; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Snow was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Vickrey; sisters, Irene Sharp, and Gertrude Snow; a brother, Joe Snow; a brother-in-law, Richard Sharp. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 31, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Bass and the Rev. Randy Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30 until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
