Mr. Richard Lee Lester

Mr. Richard Lee Lester, age 49 of Crab Orchard West Virginia passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 24, 2014. He was born in Wabash County, Indiana on April 22, 1965 to Mrs. Lillie Mae Pickering Lester Whitt and the late Jimmy Lester. Survivors include his mother of Mount Airy; three children, Samantha Catilyn, Hannah Grace and Anthony Tyler; a grandson, Braxton; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Katherine Diane and Terry, Jamie Lynn and Michael and Letha Gale; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis Keith and Judith, James Edward and Sheila, Patrick Fitzgerald and Lynn, William Howard and Sandra, John Christopher and Vickie and Charles Dale and Carolyn; his former wife, Brenda Lee; several nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lester was preceded in death by a brother, Timmy Mack; his step-father, William Howard, Sr. and a niece, Kalah Mae. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, June 27, 2014 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home by the Rev. Gary Sawyers with burial to follow in the Lester family cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the VFW Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mount Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436 and the North Carolina National Guard Honor Guard.The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, and other time at the home of his brother, 246 Rock Lane,Dobson NC 27017.
