Mr. Richard "Richie" Leon Queen

Mr. Richard “Richie” Leon Queen, 41 of Mt. Airy, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 25, 2015. He leaves behind a wonderful loving wife, Bobbie Kay Queen of the home; four loving sons, Dakota Queen, Andrew Queen, and Kayleb Queen all of the home, and Tyler Garcia of Pinnacle; and a loving daughter, Hailey Garcia of Pinnacle; his mother, Bonnie Nelson of Mt. Airy; his father Calvin Queen of Lambsburg; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jamie and Jurdon Edwards of Mt. Airy, and Jancie and Chris Harp of Mt. Airy; a brother-in-law, Steven Draughn and wife Annie of Elkin; a sister-in-law, Chrisie Radford and husband Christopher of Mt. Airy; and his mother-in-law, Doris Draughn of Elkin. Richie was preceded in death by his step-father, Randall Keith Nelson and his father-in-law, Stephen Holt Draughn. The funeral services will be held at Moody Funeral Home on Monday September 28, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jonathan Barker and Rev. Joshua Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Second Chance Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday September 27, 2015 at the funeral home from 6-9 PM. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Mountain Valley Hospice and to his nurse, Linda Collins for all of her love and tender care shown to Richie during his illness.
