Mr. Ricky James Haynes

Mr. Ricky James Haynes passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014. He was born in Surry County on February 27, 1969 to the late William Edgar and Mary Lou Simmons Haynes. Survivors include his two sons, Derrick Haynes and fiancé Jessica Shelton of Pinnacle and Anthony Haynes of Mount Airy; two beloved grandchildren, Sora Shelton and Caleb Frost; four sisters, Rita and Russell Flippen, Brenda Kaye Harris, Angela Evans, all of Winston-Salem, and Sheila Smith of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents, a sister, Mary Joan Haynes preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2014 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Peoples Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:30 until the hour of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ricky Haynes funeral fund c/o Moody-Davis Funeral Home P.O. Box 295 Dobson, NC 27017 to assist the family with final expenses.
