The Lord Jesus Christ called and Ricky answered. Mr. Ricky Lee Lambe, 50, of Lambsburg, left his earthly home peacefully to be with his Saviour Wednesday, June 11, 2014. He was born in Surry County on July 28, 1963 to Robert Lee and Melba Rayley Lambe. Mr. Lambe was a faithful member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church serving as a deacon for the last 17 years. He was an auto body technician at Scenic Ford. He is survived by his wife, Karen Annette Reeves Lambe; daughter and son-in-law, Chasity and D.J. Handy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy and Tony Joyce, Ginger and Rodney Holder and Nikki and Mitchell Mears and a brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Cindy Lambe; a mother-in-law, Linda Johnson; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Anita and David Payne; and several special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 13, 2014 at Pine Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Johnson, Rev. Randy Bartley and Rev. Bill Spurlin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to all the friends and neighbors for the prayers, love and kindness shown to Ricky and the entire family during his illness, also for the care given by the staff of WFU Comprehensive Cancer Center and Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care.
