Mr. Robert Bryan Hodges, Sr., 77, of Lowgap passed away Saturday, November 01, 2014 at his home. He was born in Surry County on September 18, 1937 to the late Howard Norman and Minnie Edna Calloway Hodges. Mr. Hodges was retired Senior Vice President of DuBois Chemicals. He was the past President of Wilders Grove Youth Center in Raleigh, and he was the Founder of Take a Kid Fishing. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Bryan Hodges, Jr. and Maria of Sarasota, FL; two grandchildren, Shannon and Josiah Hodges both of Sarasota, FL; a sister, Elaine Marion of Dobson; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Hodges; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law, Elois and Charlie Hiatt, Frances and Davis Lawrence, JoAnn and Gilmer Bowman, Bill Marion; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clayton and Melba Hodges, Hildred Hodges, Sidney "S.J." Hodges. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Clark Marion officiating. Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
