Mr. Roger Dale Quesinberry

Mr. Roger Dale "Shorty" Quesinberry, loving husband of Louise "Lou" Perdue Quesinberry passed away in the comfort of his home on Monday, May 5, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Surry County on November 28, 1950 to the late Rupert Ray "Crick" Quesinberry and the late Ida Mae Hutson Quesinberry. He was a dedicated member of Lighthouse Independent Baptist Church in Boonville, and was retired from the Surry County System after many years of dedicated service. Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years Louise "Lou" Perdue Quesinberry of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Dana Quesinberry and Rusty and Heather Quesinberry, all of Dobson; seven beloved grandchildren, Kolton, Kord, Kacyn, Blaine, Emily, Lexi and Savannah; one great-grandchild, Sofia; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Donnies and Lonnie Johnson, Norma and Roger Atkins, Brenda and Ronnie Hall and Debbie and Danny Brindle, all of Mount Airy; and five brothers and sisters-in-law, Rex and Maedell Quesinberry, Larry and Rhonda Quesinberry, Greg and Lynn Quesinberry, Jimmy and Jeraldine Quesinberry of Dobson and Grant and Cindy Quesinberry of Mount Airy; many special nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday at Lighthouse Independent Baptist Church, Boonville NC by Bro. Eric Caudill, Bro. Eddie Killan and Bro. Reggie Johnson with burial to follow in the Community Church Cemetery in Blackwater.The family will receive friends at Lighthouse Independent Baptist Church on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm 4137 Sunset Drive, located off of highway 601 behind Southland Trucking, Boonville, NC 27011. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lighthouse Independent Baptist Church PO Box 577 Boonville, NC 27011 or to The Community Church cemetery Fund 280 O'Neal Road Mount Airy, NC 27030.
