Mr. Ronald "Stu" Lee Gay, Jr

Mr. Ronald "Stu" Lee Gay, Jr. age 30, of Stuart, Virginia formerly of Southampton County passed away at Roanoke Memorial Hospital on Friday, May 23, 2014. He was born in Suffolk on September 2, 1983 to Ronald Gay, Sr. and Monet Wood Gay, both of Stuart. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jason Douglas Stiller. He had worked as a carpenter. "Stu" was a loving and devoted husband, daddy, son, brother, uncle and friend. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. We love you and know you will be greatly missed by many.
In addition to his parents "Stu" is survived by his wife, Desra Ann Black Gay of the home; three children, Faith Marie Gay, Hannah Leigh Gay and Ronald Lee Gay, III, all of the home; a brother, Douglas Edward Stiller of Stuart, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jessica Lynn Dunkley and husband, Scott of Martinsville and Penny Leigh Raiford and husband, Casey of Courtland, Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Courtland Baptist Church. The family is receiving friends at their home in Stuart. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Ronald "Stu" Gay, Jr. Burial Fund, c/o Moody Funeral Home, P.O. Box 307, Stuart, Virginia 24171.
