Mr. S.C. Hamlin

Mr. S.C. Hamlin, age 77, of Dobson, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Hamlin was born August 12, 1937 in Surry County to the late Wiley Braxton Hamlin and Virginia Mally Coe Hamlin. He was a farmer and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Mr. Hamlin is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Frances McMillan Hamlin, of the home; his sons and daughters-in-law, Randall and Margo Hamlin of Lowgap, and Tony and Melissa Hamlin of Dobson; Grandchildren Trey Hamlin and Molly Hamlin; Sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and C.W. Driver of Boonville; Brothers and sisters-in-law, Folger and Janie Hamlin of Dobson and Jimmy and Libby Hamlin of Dobson.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hamlin was preceded in death by his brothers; Gaither Hamlin, Dillard Hamlin, John Allen Hamlin and Spencer Hamlin; Sisters, Peggy Driver, Polly Wilmoth; And an infant sister, Kathy Hamlin.
Funeral services will be held, Wednesday July 22, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Liberty Baptist Church with Reverend J.V. Lowe and Reverend Chris Parks officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 A.M., prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Liberty Baptist Church.
