Mr. Shelby Gene Lowe

Mr. Shelby Gene Lowe Age 76 of 1297 Galax Trail Mt. Airy, NC. passed away Saturday night March 21, 2015 at the Golden Living Nursing Center in Mt. Airy. Mr. Lowe was born November 2, 1938 in Surry County to the late Eldridge and Zora Elva Lowe, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was in management Mr. Lowe was a member of "The Gospel Singers" along with other members of his family.. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law Samuel and Paulette Lowe of Pilot Mountain, Douglas Lowe of Concord and Bradley and Billie Jo Lowe of Mt. Airy and six grandchildren. In addition to his parents Mr. Lowe was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Crouse Elliott Lowe, two sisters Opal Lowe and Clara Mae Lowe and by two brothers Billy Dean Lowe and Ambrose Lowe. Funeral services will be held Monday March 23, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Claude Lloyd with burial to follow in the Kirby-Lowe Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 P.M. until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Moody Funeral Home to assist the family with the funeral expenses.
