Mr. Stanley Kirk Haynes

Mr. Stanley Kirk Haynes, age 65 of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday, May 14, 2012 in Panama City, FL. Mr. Haynes was born in Surry County on June 26, 1946 to the late Charlie and Bertie Creed Haynes. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietman War and was retired and attended Cedar Lane Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Gypsy Surratt Haynes of the home; two sons Sterling Haynes of Mt. Airy and Chad Haynes of Panama City, FL., three sisters and brothers-in-law Rita and Billy Johnson of Mt. Airy, Carolyn Bode of Dobson and Sandra and Jimmy Caudle of Mt. Airy, One brother and sisters-in-law Phillip and Karen Haynes of Mt. Airy. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ed Bowman. Burial will follow in Surratt Family Cemetery with military honors by VFW Memorial Honor Guard, Mt. Airy Post 2119 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
