Mr. Sterling Odell Mullins

Mr. Sterling Odell Mullins, age 75 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart. He was born on March 25, 1939 at Dante, Virginia, and was preceded in death by his father, Roy Mullins; his mother, Cora Steffey Mullins Wise; his step-father, Conley Wise; and a brother, Buford Mullins. He had worked in the maintenance department at Tultex, was the founder of Mullins Home Remodeling, and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Mullins is survived by his wife of 39 years, Elaine Lackey Mullins of the home; a daughter, Linda Campbell of Bassett; a step-daughter, Melissa Belcher of Stuart; two granddaughters, Angela Campbell and Kelsie Belcher; two grandsons, Joey Hylton and Jessie Belcher; a great-granddaughter, Alex Campbell; a great-grandson, Matthew Green; a brother and sister-in-law, Macel and Georgie Mullins of Illinois; a sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice and Larry Murawski of Avon, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Cletus Lackey officiating. Burial will follow in Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home, and at other times at the home.
