Mr. Syrus T. "Tony" Williams, Jr

Mr. Syrus “Tony” Thornton Williams, Jr., age 74 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. He was born in Pocahontas, Virginia on May 1, 1942 to the late Syrus Thornton Williams, Sr. and Ocie Lena Joyce Williams. In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by a sister, Fern Munsey. He had served in the United State Navy.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann “Susie” Williams of the home; one son, Anthony Williams of Missouri; one daughter, Angie Rakes of Stuart; one granddaughter; one brother, James Williams of Christiansburg; three sisters, Barbara Tyree of Ohio, Dorothy Roland of West Virginia, and Eleanor Stevens of Giles County; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Mickey Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.
