Mr. Terry Lee Collins

Our father, Terry L. Collins, passed away on November 26, 2014, from complications related to diabetes. He came into this world on December 13, 1947, born to Lester and Rosalie Collins. He graduated from Mt. Airy High School in May 1966. He graduated from The University of North Carolina in May 1970. He returned to Carolina the fall of 1971 earning a Juris Doctorate, in May 1974. He honorably served his country as a member of the United States National Guard. He is survived by three children, Catherine Settle (Justin), Elkin, John Collins (Dori), Apex, and Charlie Collins, Florida; seven grandchildren, Britton Settle, Eli Settle, Julia Settle, Tyler Collins, Kayleigh Collins, Macy Collins, and Audrey Collins; two sisters and one brother, Leslie Brett (John), Lester Jr. (Linda), and Dara Parsons (Tim). He also had many nieces and nephews, and friends. Terry loved furniture making, photography, cooking, and practicing law. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Rosalie Collins. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Firehouse Ministries in Mt. Airy.
