Mr. Thomas Dwight Rieves

Mr. Thomas Dwight Rieves, age 76 of Meadows of Dan, Virginia passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at his home. He was born on January 11, 1936 in Greensboro, North Carolina to the late Dwight Henry Rieves and Ethel Orene Apple Rieves. He served in the United States Air Force, and retired from the United States Postal Service as a telecommunications specialist.
Mr. Rieves is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Steele Rieves of the home; two sons, Jeff Rieves of Monroe, North Carolina and Joel Rieves of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Josh, Emily, Alyssa, Rachel and Olivia; one great-grandchild, Andrew; one sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne and Earl Robbins of Greensboro, North Carolina; and one brother and sister-in-law, David and Pat Rieves of Belhaven, North Carolina.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, Virginia. All other services will be private.
