Mr. Thomas Wayne White

Mr. Thomas Wayne White, age 66, of Dobson, NC, passed away on Monday morning at his home after a short illness September 23, 2015. He was born in Madison Co. Alabama on May 10, 1949 to the late Lawrence White and the late Kattie Cowan White. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Donald Wayne White; three brothers James, Rayford, and Jerry White. Mr. White was a Trucker Driver, a member of Sparta Church of God, and was a veteran of the USA having served in Vietnam from 1969 until 1970. Surviving is his wife Mary Sturgill White of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law Jonathan Daniel and Lorren White of Roaring River, David Emanuel and Jenny White of McGrady, Joshua Anthony and Hope White of Sparta; ten grandchildren Ashley Janell Snyder, Brianna Faith White, Cody White, Jesse White, Troy White, Faith White, Destiny White, Kendra Hunt, Katie White, Mit Baht; one great-grandson Riley Snyder; one sister Wilma and Ron Reed of Huntsville, Al; three brother and two sisters-in-law Joe and Ellen White of Fort Payne, Al, George and Barbara White of Laurel Springs, NC, John White of Texas; several nieces and nephews; special friend Sabrina Arnold of Low Gap.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday September 23, 2015 at the Sparta Church of God with burial to follow in the New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Doug Combs will conduct the services. Graveside rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Honor Guard Bruce Wayne Osborne Post 7034. The Family will receive friends on Wednesday at the Sparta Church of God from 12:00 Noon until the time of his service at 2:00 P.M. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the White family.
