Mr. Timothy Payne

Timothy "Timmy" Lee Payne, loving husband, beloved brother, and cherished friend to many, age 54 of Cana, VA, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Timmy was born in Carroll County on January 24, 1958 to Edgar Lee and Bertha Edwards Payne. Timmy enjoyed the outdoors and simple pleasures of life. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Vanessa L. Smith Payne; sisters and brother-in-law, Rebekah "Becky" and Billy Meyers of Cana; Rita Payne and Mark Bowman of King; a brother Stevie Payne of Cana, brothers-in-law Darrell E. Smith and wife Tonya Fletcher, Jeff Smith, Danny Smith, sister-in-law, Denise Willard and husband Gary, many special nieces, nephews and special friends, Marissa Gail Sawyers and Chad Crotts. In addition to his parents, Timmy was preceded in death by a sister, Shelby Jean Bolen and special friends, Randy Barnes and Junior Ayers. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM, Monday, August 20, 2012 at Fancy Gap Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Randy Jones and Rev. Richard Hawks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Surry County Awareness Team (SCAT) or to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home.
