Mr. Wayne Stewart Holyfield

Mr. Wayne Stewart Holyfield, 76, of Mount Airy, passed away on Monday morning, March 19, 2018 at Colonial Care Nursing Home. He was born in Surry County on November 3, 1941 to the late Grover Buxton and Lizzie Vance Stewart Holyfield. Mr. Holyfield was a retired farmer and truck driver, and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Claudine and James Quesinberry, Janet and Gaylan Tucker; brother and sister-in-law, Vance and Bonnie Holyfield; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Holyfield was preceded in death by two sister, Frances “Polly” Edmonds, and Ellen Holyfield; a nephew, Chris Quesinberry. A graveside service will be held Friday, March 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
