Mr. William E. Allen

Mr. William E. Allen, 98 of Mt. Airy, passed away at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. He was born in Habersham County, GA on June 5, 1915 to the late William Ernest Allen, Sr. and Martha Elizabeth Cash Allen. Mr. Allen was the owner and president of Barber-Allen Hosiery Mill, Allen Hosiery Mill, and Infant Bootee Mill in Mt. Airy. He is survived by three children, Gail, Ann, and Andy; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl, and son Bobby.
