Mr. William W. "Bill" Chapman

Mr. William W. "Bill" Chapman, of Peachtree City, GA, formerly of Mount Airy, NC, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2007. He was a graduate of Vanderbilt University and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Navy. Mr. and Mrs. Chapman lived in Mount Airy, NC, from 1957 until 1988. He is preceded in death by a son, Richard W. Chapman. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jane V. Chapman of Peachtree City, GA; sons, John T. Chapman of Byron, NY, Jerry W. Chapman of Loganville, GA, and Chris Chapman of Senoia, GA; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Matthew V. Ingram of Lilburn, GA. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2007, at 10:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church in Mount Airy, NC. The service will be conducted by Dr. Steve Lindsley and Dr. Tom Bagnal. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
