Mr. William Douglas "Doug" McAlexander

Mr. William Douglas "Doug" McAlexander, age 73 of Patrick Springs passed away Friday at his home. He was born on Oct. 30, 1940 in Patrick County to the late Zera C. McAlexander and Martha Elizabeth "Daisy" Hall McAlexander. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Roberts; and a brother, Alvis McAlexander. Doug had worked at a finishing company until retirement and farmed the last 40 years. He attended County Line Church of God of Prophecy.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Pansy Martin McAlexander of the home; two sons and daughters in law, Jeffrey and Lori McAlexander, and Eddie and Lisa McAlexander all of Patrick Springs; four grandchildren, Ashley, Kendal, Brandon, and Stephanie McAlexander; one sister, Luetta Harris of Stuart; two brothers, Calvin McAlexander of Ashland, Cleo McAlexander of Stanleytown; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Jeff Rhea officiating. Burial will follow in the Patrick Memorial Gardens.
