Mr. William Morgan "Bill" Miller

Mr. William Morgan "Bill" Miller age 66 of Mt. Airy, NC husband of Mrs. Peggy Bowman Miller passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born June 17, 1947 in Horry County, SC to
Donald and Clara Long Miller. Mr. Miller was a former member of the Mt. Airy Rescue Squad and a former member of the Franklin Ruritan Club where he served in various capacities. He was also a member of Antioch Baptist Church where he had served on the deacon board. Surviving are his wife, Peggy B. Miller of the home, two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Miller and Travis Dull of Ararat, NC and Stephanie Garrett and Tony of Mt. Airy, NC, four grandchildren, Jasmine Garrett, Zachery Garrett, Brett Garrett and Colton Dull and a great grandchild, Kylee Williams, a sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Rev. Billy Carroll of Conway, SC, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Jenny Miller of Lincolnton, NC, and Ronnie and Margaret Miller of Myrtle Beach, SC. In addition to his parents, Mr. Miller was preceded in death by a "twin" sister, Betty Alford and a grandson, Cody Garrett. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Antioch Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by Rev. Dale Wallace, Rev. Homer Bowman, and Rev. Billy Carroll. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Saturday at Moody Funeral Home where his body will remain until carried to the church to lie in state 30 minutes. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Antioch Baptist Church Elevator Fund, 137 Antioch Ave., Mt. Airy, NC 27030. .
