Mr. William Henley "W.H. Rigney

Mr. William Henley “W.H.” Rigney, 62 of Cana, VA passed away at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. W.H. was born on September 21, 1953 to the late Gifford Lee and Ruby Virginia Westmoreland Rigney. He retired from Cross Creek Apparel and was a long time member of Epworth United Methodist Church. W.H. was a former member of the Cana Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad. He enjoyed being with friends, reminiscing about stories of former days and could quote the family tree as an avid genealogist. He always wanted to help others any time he could. He is survived by his special friend, Deborah Stoots; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Diane Rigney; aunts, Edie Jackson, and Norma Lampron and husband, Don; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, W.H. was preceded in death by sisters, Libby Richardson, Esther Henley; a brother, Don Rigney; great nephew, Dylan Casstevens and a sister-in-law, Carole Rigney. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Epworth United Methodist Church with Rev. Joseph Kossan, Rev. Larry Jones and Rev. Brian Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
