Mr. William Thomas "Tommy" Roberts

Mr. William Thomas "Tommy" Roberts, age 66 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at his home. He was born in Henry County on March 28, 1949 to the late William Guy and Margaret Elizabeth Woolwine Roberts. In addition to his parents, Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Dean Roberts. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a contractor with Ralph Nelson Construction. He loved his special dog, Maggie, and playing golf.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Barbara Spence Roberts of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Evans Hylton of Christiansburg, Kristie and Steve Goard of Stuart; three grandchildren, Trey Hylton, Courtney Hylton and Abigail Goard; one brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Tonya Roberts of Virginia Beach; and four sisters and brothers-in-law, Loraine and Fred Gilles of Lake Luzerne, New York, Deborah and Roy Rusmisel of Stuart, Patricia and Robert Agee of Danville and Becky and Tom Farris of Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Ed Hartman officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service, and other times at the home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
