Mr. William Howard Whitt, Jr

Mr. William Howard Whitt, Jr. age 51, of Mount Airy passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Saturday, February 3, 2018. He was born in Cecil County, Maryland on August 22, 1966 to Lillie Pickering Whitt and the late William Howard Whitt, Sr. Mr. Whitt was employed as a dye house supervisor at Lantal Textiles, Inc., and was of the Pentecostal faith. Surviving him are his loving wife of 24 years, Sandra Blevins Whitt; a son Nathaniel Whitt; a daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Mitchell Kamensky; his mother, Lillie Pickering Whitt; two beloved grandchildren, Skylar and Jada Kamensky; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathrine and Terry King; brothers and sisters-in-law, Patrick and Lynne Lester, James and Sheila Lester, Dennis and Judith Lester, Christopher and Vickie Whitt, and Charles and Carolyn Whitt. In addition to his father, a brother, Richard Lee Lester preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home by the Rev. Gary Sawyers. Burial will follow in the L and W family cemetery, Rocky Lane, Dobson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
