Mr.Donnie Lester Cassell

Mr. Donnie Lester Cassell, 79, of Meadows of Dan, Virginia passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at his home. He was born in Patrick County, VA on May 15, 1937 to the late Posie Lester Cassell and Essie Clifton Cassell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma Harrell Cassell, and his brother, Roy Waymon Cassell.

Surviving are his sons and daughter in law, Lester Clay Cassell and wife, Meredith Epps Cassell, and Barry Alan Cassell, all of Charlotte, NC; the light of his life, his granddaughter, Elisabeth Cassell Banks and husband, Carey Banks of Waxhaw, NC; sister and brother in law, Betty Lou Cassell Banks and Harlon Thomas Banks of Meadows of Dan, VA; sister in law, Angie Culler Cassell of Meadows of Dan, VA, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart, VA on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 2:00pm with Rev. Michael Shockley officiating. The burial will immediately follow in Meadows of Dan Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
