Mrs. Alice Hickman Lockhart

Mrs. Alice Hickman Lockhart, 87, of Mt. Airy passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at her home. She was born in Horry County, SC on April 18, 1926 to the late Jesse Poe Hickman and Ruby Graham Hickman Fell. Mrs. Lockhart was a registered nurse, a homemaker and was a member of Central United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Kelly Lockhart of the home; three daughters and son-in-law, Kelly L. and Tommy Tolson of Macclesfield, Mary Lockhart Hughes of Fairfax, VA, Miriam Ann Lockhart of Closter, NJ; grandchildren, Thomas Tolson, Elizabeth and Sarah Hughes, Anna Lockhart; a great grandson, Carter Wientjes. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lockhart was preceded in death by a sister, Miriam Hutson. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 7, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Central United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Pyatt officiating. Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
