Mrs. Alvina Goode Hylton

Mrs. Alvina Goode Hylton of Stuart, Virginia passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014 at her home. She was born in Danville, VA on January 16, 1936 to the late John Dave Goode and Ocie Harris Goode. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death a brother, Jonnie J. Goode. Alvina was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
Mrs. Hylton is survived by her husband of 58 years, Frank Hylton of the home; three children, Brenda Hylton of Ridgeway, Becky Hylton of Woolwine and Barry Hylton of Weymouth, Massachusetts; two grandchildren, Nichole VanZile & husband, Jef of Mechanicsville and Bradley Fain of Stuart; a great granddaughter, Ashlyn VanZile; two sisters and a brothers-in-law, Dalphine Willis & husband, J.V. of Roanoke and Maxine Dillon & husband, Percy of Stuart; a sister-in-law, Annie Goode and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hylton will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 2:00pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Chaplain Greg Anderson and Elder Donnie Conner officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Jack's Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 22099 Jeb Stuart Highway, Stuart, VA 24171 or to Smith River Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 122, Woolwine, VA 24185.
