Mrs. Barbara Jean Phillips Prutting

Mrs. Barbara
Jean Phillips Prutting, age 71 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Shewas born in New York, New York on November 8, 1943 to the late Gerald A. and
Elsie Y. Phillips. In addition to herparents, Mrs. Prutting was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Bruce
Prutting, and a brother, Gerald Phillips. She was a devout Christian and a loving caregiver to two generations of
youth in Patrick County.

Mrs.Prutting is survived by four children, Dana Marie Bova and husband, Richard of Vinton, Virginia, Joshua William Prutting of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Robert Walker and wife, Denise of Rocky Point, New York and Linda Gail Walker of Danville; Virginia; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Steven Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia and Richard Lee of Miami, Florida; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Prutting and wife, Anita of Stuart; and several
nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating. Burial will be private.
