Mrs. Barbara Rakes Shough

Mrs. Barbara Rakes Shough, age 74 of Patrick Springs, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born in Virginia on June 23, 1939 to the late Theodore Roosevelt Rakes and Bertie Hooper Rakes Denham. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shough was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Shough.
Mrs. Shough is survived by one son, Keith Medley, and three daughters, Kathy Neaves, Karen Terry and Kaye Lowe, all of Patrick Springs; one sister, Patsy Wilson of Reidsville, North Carolina; and two brothers, Gary Edmond Rakes of Eden, North Carolina and Curtis Rakes of Townsville, North Carolina.
