Mrs. Barbara Susan Wilkinson

Mrs. Barbara Susan Wilkinson, age 59 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 at her home after a long sickness. She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on May 8, 1953 to the late John and Virginia Moon Wilkinson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilkinson was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Gay Wilkinson. She had been a hard worker who was an excellent cook, farm manager and dog trainer.
Mrs. Wilkinson is survived by her husband, Frank Leavitt of the home; one brother, Bill Wilkinson of Seven Devils, North Carolina; one sister, Catherine Wilkinson of San Antonio, Texas; and her beloved dogs, Shasta, Baggins and Dixie.
A memorial service for Mrs. Wilkinson will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Burial will be private.
