Mrs. Betty Lorine Parries Brim, age 85 of Mount Airy passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Surry County on May 20, 1932 to the late Harvey and Mary Ann Cobbler Parries. She was retired from Perry Manufacturing after 40 years of dedicated service. She was such a loving person that everyone will surely miss very deeply. Surviving is her devoted husband, Delbert Brim; daughters and sons-in-law, Vyron and Steve Minor, and Dalette and Chris Atkins; a son, and daughter-in-law, Sammy and Brenda Brim; five grandchildren, Shane Brim and wife Misty, Lauren Dillon and husband Zach, Makayla Castle and husband Andrew, Billy Joe Lowry and wife Heather and Colby Lowry; five great grandchildren, Arianna and Avery Brim, Caroline Dillon, as well as Will and Sadie Lowry; a sister, Faye and Jimmy Lynch. In addition to her parents Mrs. Brim was preceded in death by her sisters, Viola Vernon, Norma Hiatt, Layverne Miller and Eleanor Cook, Linda Parries; and by her brothers Roger, Cleveland, Joe, Harvey Jr., and Foy Parries. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy with services conducted by the Rev. Ricky Martin with burial to follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Saturday evening at Moody Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy NC. 27030.
