Mrs. Betty Ward Holt

Mrs. Betty Ward Holt, 77 of Mt. Airy passed away at her home Friday, September 4, 2015. She was born in Stokes County on January 12, 1938 to the late George and Maybell Nunn Ward. She retired from Sara Lee and was of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Holt is survived by her daughter, Vickey Faye Cooke Holden; three grandchildren, Wendy Leigh Marion, Jennifer Lee Holden and James Jason Holden; seven great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Ruth Ward; a special friend, Eddie Hawkins. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by her first husband, Keith Cooke. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 7, 2015 at Oakdale Cemetery with Bro. Ken Aman officiating. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home although anyone is welcome to go by Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy to pay their respects to Mrs. Holt.
