Mrs. Betty Norman Ramey

Mrs. Betty Imogene Norman Ramey, age 84 of Lowgap, passed away Saturday, July 06, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Ramey was born in Surry County on September 29, 1928 to Jacob and Ennice Galyean Norman. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Surviving is her devoted husband of sixty-eight years, Dick W. Ramey; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Dennis Riggs; a grandson, Dickie Riggs and wife Kati; great grandchildren, Kassidy and Alek Riggs and sisters, Lucy Lowe and Sena Moore. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ramey was preceded in death by two infant daughters; sister,Evelyn Smith;half-sister,Nellie King; and half brothers, Gird Norman, Johnny Norman, and Arnie Norman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Mountain View Baptist Church by Rev. Clyde Stewart. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Monday night from 6:00 to 8:00.
