Mrs. Betty Etta Hodges White

Mrs. Betty Etta Hodges White, age 88, passed away on Saturday morning September 26, 2015 at the Pruitt Health Care in Elkin. She was born in Surry Co. on September 24, 1927 to the late Richard Pless Hodges and the late Elector Hodge Hodges. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Albert R. White; a daughter Doris “Ann” White Greenwood; two sisters Alice Mitchell, Bessie Cave. Mrs. White was a homemaker and retired from Renfro. Surviving is a Daughter and son-in-law Opalene “Opie” McKeaver and husband Steven Lee McKeaver of Dobson; son-in-law Danny Roy Greenwood of Dobson; two grandsons Christopher “ Chris” McKeaver and wife Pamela “Pam”, Timothy “Tim” Greenwood of Dobson; three great grandchildren Keely Greenwood, Sydney McKeaver, Carrie McKeaver; five sisters and one brother-in-law Yvonne and Brady Smith of Galax, VA, Frances Beane of Germanton, Lettie Reid of Dobson, Lois Davis of Mt. Airy, Vallie Bryant of Elkin; one brother and sister-in-law Richard Pless Hodges Jr. and Rachel Hodges of Wisconsin. Funeral services will be at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday September 27, 2015 in the Chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Salem Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Sean Joplin will conduct the services. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 PM until time of her service at 4:00 PM.
