Mrs. Beulah Hawks

Mrs. Beulah Hawks, age 74 of Cana passed away at her home Thursday, April 26, 2012. Mrs. Hawks was born in Carroll County, VA on August 20, 1937 to the late William Shade and Litha Ann Edwards Hawks. She was a homemaker and a member of Paul's Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Hawks is survived by her husband, Kenneth Hawks of the home; a daughter, Ronda McMillian of Cana; a son, Ricky Hawks and his fiancée, Tonya Edwards both of Cana; five grandchildren, Stacey Ayers, Brandon Hawks, Justin Hawks, Robby Hawks and Jacob Edwards; great grandchildren, Christian and Riley Hawks; sisters and brother-in-law, Elsie Easter of Cana, Ann and Vernon Surratt of Lambsburg; and a brother and sister-in-law, Horbert and Judy Hawks of Cana. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by three sisters, Mazie Creed, Gladys Crotts and Effie McMillian; three brothers, Howard, Lawrence and Walter Hawks. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Sandy Ridge Primitive Baptist Church by Elder Arwood Edwards with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
