Mrs. Billie Hardy Bradley

Mrs. Billie Hardy Bradley, age 81, of Mt. Airy, widow of Dr. Harris Bradley, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Surry Community Health & Rehab. Mrs. Bradley was born in Surry County on June 8, 1935 to James Ethard and Annie Ausborne Hardy. Mrs. Bradley was retired from United Savings in Mount Airy, and was longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Airy, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Surviving are two sons and daughter-in-law, Robert and Angela Jones, and John Jones; her step children; John Bradley and Anamaria, Frank Bradley and Pamela, Lea Bradley, David Bradley and Dawn; her grandchildren, Lauren and Chase Jones; her step grandchildren, Badi, Razi, Zayn, Rachael, Sarah, Brooke,Cameron and Kate; her sisters, Mrs. Mae Turpin, Mrs. Barbara Lane, and Mrs. Frieda Chauncey; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Bradley was preceded in death by her sisters, Frances Harris, and Mildred Schmitz, and her brothers, Wade Hardy and Jack Hardy. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017, at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Mt. Airy, with Rev. Griffin Gatewood officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 PM until the hour of the service at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, PO Box 1286, Mt.
