Mrs. Brenda Faye Wagoner Blankenship

Mrs. Brenda Faye Wagoner Blankenship, age 49 of Patrick Springs, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 26, 2011. She was born in Eden, North Carolina on May 31, 1961. She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Wagoner; her mother, Shirley Wagoner Corn; an infant brother; and her grandparents. She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church, and had worked for Patrick County Social Services.
Mrs. Blankenship is survived by her husband of 23 years, Junior Blankenship, of the home; her faithful companions, Champ and Brownie Girl; two sons, Taylor Blankenship, and special daughter-in-law, Laura, of Patrick Springs and Matthew Blankenship, and fiancé, Chrissy Lowell, of Stuart; one sister, Pansy Korn of Reidsville; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Layn and Sherry Wagoner of Lawsonville, Keith and Denise Wagoner of Dobson and Worth and Jennifer Corn of Tallahassee; one nephew, B.J. Korn.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Mark Wright, Rev. Bernard Handy and Rev. Gerald Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the New Beginnings Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.
