Mrs. Brenda Sue Johnson Holder

Mrs. Brenda Sue Johnson Holder, 67, of Mount Airy, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 2, 2017. Mrs. Holder was born on June 8, 1949 in Surry County to Jerilene Webb Johnson and the late Roy Lewis Johnson. Brenda was retired from the Town of Pilot Mountain as the town clerk and attended Roaring Gap Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Lisa and Michael Johnson of Mount Airy and Amanda Holder of Lowgap; three grandchildren who she dearly loved and adored, Dylan Johnson, Samantha Childress, and Hailey Childress; her mother, Jerilene Webb Johnson of Mount Airy; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carol Ann Ford of Commerce, GA and Chime Alecia Dean and husband Ron of King; and a special friend, Ann Gordon of Pilot Mountain. In addition to her father, Mrs. Holder was preceded in death by her husband, McDaniel "Danny" Holder. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Roaring Gap Baptist Church with services conducted by the Rev. Joe Atkins. Burial will follow in the Roaring Gap Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night, April 6, 2017 at Roaring Gap Baptist Church from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roaring Gap Baptist Church, c/o Mike Casstevens, 722 Casstevens Road, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
