Mrs. Christine H. Nester

Mrs. Christine H. Nester, age 68 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Friday, May 16, 2008 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax. She was born in Floyd County on October 4, 1939 to the late Charlie and Susan Alderman Hylton. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nester was preceded in death by her husband, Garner Nester, and three brothers, Victor, Leonard and Clarence Hylton. She was retired from Micrometrics, and was a member of Green Mountain Baptist Church.
Mrs. Nester is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Ramona and Kent Helms of Laurel Fork and Lisa and Jessie Sehen of Meadows of Dan; one son and daughter-in-law, Garland "Bucky" and Rebecca Nester of Meadows of Dan; five grandchildren, Allen Sehen, Sarah Jo Helms, Kevin Sehen, Jennifer Nester and Travis Nester; and special friends, Peggy Stanley and family, Vergie Nester and family, Helen Cockram, and Clinton Hylton and family.
Funeral services for Mrs. Nester will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. J. C. Willard officiating. Burial will follow in the Shelor Family Cemetery.
