Mrs. Christy Lynn Shumate Curiel

Mrs. Christy Lynn Shumate Curiel, age 38 of Dobson, passed away at the home on Friday. October 17, 2014. She was born in Surry County on July 22, 1976 to Bobby Dean and Linda Stanley Shumate. Mrs. Curial was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her loving husband, Juan Gerardo Curiel, of the home; two daughters, Hannah Alexis and Jada Abigail Curiel of the home; a sister, Bonnie Stevens of Dobson; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Dean Allen Shumate of Dobson and Larry Randy and Denise Shumate of Mount Airy; a special friend, Shanna Marion; special Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held at 4 pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home by the Rev. Dale Bass. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour to the service.
