Mrs. Clara Mae Morton Goins

Mrs. Clara Mae Morton Goins, age 66, of Mt. Airy, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Northern Hospital. Mrs. Goins was born in Surry County on June 23, 1949, to James and Lottie Rachel Edwards Morton. She so deeply loved by all her family and many friends, she will be dearly missed. Left to cherish her memory is devoted her husband, Gary Goins; her step father, Grady Hiatt; daughters and a son-in-law, Angie and Rodney Wilmoth, Kimberly Goins and fiancé Jacob Bryant; grandchildren, Amber Wilmoth and significant other, Shane Rogers, Tanner Brown, Tony Brown, and Jaden Bryant; great grandchildren, Karlie Rogers and baby boy Rogers on the way; a sister, Pat Morton; brothers and a sister-in-law, Billy Morton and Hurley and Diane Morton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goins was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Glass; and brothers, James Slate, James Morton, Larry Morton, and Bobby Slate. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 3, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tony White. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
