Mrs. Clara Jeannette Alderman Williams, age 77 of Stuart, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. She was born in Floyd County on February 17, 1937 to the late Joseph and Vada Conner Alderman. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Washington Lee Williams; five sisters, Beulah Linkous, Irene Alderman, Lucille cox, Edna Marshall and Lula Mae Cockram; four brothers, Glenn, Fred, Pete and Ed Alderman. She was a member of Five Forks Wesleyan Church.
Mrs. Williams is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Joan Williams of Woolwine; three daughters and sons-in-law, Joan Helms of Stuart, Barbara and Maynard Ratliff of Patrick Springs and Tammy and Ronald Nance of Spencer; six grandchildren, Paul Williams, Matthew Williams, Casey Helms Chandler, Abigail Nance, Hannah Nance and Travis Gonzalez; one great-granddaughter; three sisters, Judy Reynolds of Meadows of Dan, Ruby Sloan of Christiansburg and Ruth Austin of Radford; and two brothers, Frank D. Alderman of Bassett and Joseph "Junior" Alderman of Vesta.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Gary Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the funeral home. If desired, memorials may be made to Five Forks Wesleyan Church,
