Mrs. Clarice Elizabeth Martin Marion

Mrs. Clarice Elizabeth Martin Marion, age 74 of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Pioneer Community Hospital of Patrick County in Stuart. She was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on January 11, 1938 to the late George D. and Clarice Gray Martin. She was an active member of Stuart Presbyterian Church, had been a nurse, was a former treasurer and volunteer at My Friend's Closet, and was an avid gardener who loved Patrick County.
Mrs. Marion is survived by her husband, James E. Marion of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Julie and Arturo Martinez of Atlanta, Georgia and Vickie Zolezzi of Blacksburg; three step-children, Anita Banta of Atlanta, Carol Moore of Cary, North Carolina and Jeff Marion of Atlanta; one grandson, Sam Zolezzi; seven step-grandchildren; and two older brothers, George Martin of Palm Harbour, Florida and Billy Martin of Greensboro.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Stuart Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Bucky Hunsicker officiating. If desired, memorials may be made to the Elizabeth Marion Nursing Scholarship Fund, Auburn University Development Office, 317 S. College Street, Auburn, Alabama 36849, or to the Stuart Presbyterian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 94, Stuart, Virginia 24171. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is in charge of the arrangements.
