Mrs. Daisy Plasters Dalton, age 88 of Stuart, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. She was born in Pittsylvania County on April 14, 1927 to the late Moir and Beatrice Williams Plasters. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dalton was preceded in death by a son, Everette Dalton; a grandson, Landon Priddy; three brothers, Burton, Charlie and Carl (Cebron) Plasters; and two sisters, Eva Bowman and Novalene Rakes. She was a member of Wayside Community Church, and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Dalton is survived by her husband of 67 years and 10 months, Herman H. Dalton of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Joanne Dalton of Woodlawn; two daughters and a son-in-law, Ann Shumate of Stuart and Regena and Jimmy Rogers of Lawsonville, North Carolina; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Dalton of Tobaccoville, North Carolina; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Graham, and husband, Zach of Georgia, Diane Collins and husband, Josh of Clemmons, North Carolina, Edward Dalton of Aiken, South Carolina, Brandy Davis and husband, Jamie of Lawsonville, Whitney Rogers and husband, Mason Leach of Charlotte, North Carolina, Katie Finch and husband, Michael of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Karyn Mickey and husband, Jeff of King, North Carolina, Amy Hensley and husband, Don of King, North Carolina; six great-grandchildren, Dalton and Anna Graham, Adelynn and Finley Davis, Taylor and Spencer Hensley; three step-grandchildren, Tammy Croom of Georgia, Mitchell Brown of Tennessee and Sheri Bobbitt of Woodlawn.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Wayside Community Church with Pastor Mickey Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 noon until time of the service at the church. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is in charge of the arrangements.
